Twenty Seven

How far along: 27 weeks!! Yikes!! 90 days left to prepare for Little Miss to get here... It's going by so fast!

Weight gain/loss: Oh geez, I don't even want to think about it. I've gained a lot.

Body changes: I'm starting to notice some stretch marks on my sides, and I'm getting more on "the girls" and toosh.

These are the make-up photos since I missed posting the last two weeks.

Woah... Check out the 27 week belly! It looks so much bigger in photos!

Gender: It's a girl!

Movement: I feel her just about every time she moves now, which is GREAT most of the time. You know, when she's not kicking my bladder. =P I've gotten a few almost painful kicks lately, and I think once she was stretching and it just hurt. For the most part, though, I love feeling her move...and when she moves my belly. =) She's most active at night and lately she's been more active in the mornings when I first wake up. Please, oh please, don't be a morning person, Charlotte!!

Sleep: It's been much better since we got back in our own bed!! I still get up a couple times a night to use the bathroom, but I'm getting used to that. So much so that it hardly takes a few minutes for me to go back to sleep once I get up.

What I'm looking forward to: My appointment next week... Picking up her crib tomorrow!!! I found a great crib on a FB group that's brand new for only $100.

It's not the exact one I wanted, but I can handle it for saving money. =) Hopefully getting the crib will spur my hubby into action! I've been dying to start on her room since we got back, but he hasn't been very motivated. Fingers crossed!

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach. Oh my word, I have never missed it so much! Sometimes I can roll onto my side enough that it sort of feels like sleeping on my stomach {probably because it's getting so big}, but it's just not the same. =/

Cravings: Generally sweet stuff. For the last few days I have really been wanting a chocolate covered donut. =P Trying to satisfy that craving with different things, but somehow that one keeps coming back.

Symptoms: Heartburn {it took Tums and water with baking soda to help last night}, back pain and - most recently - hip pain. I'm pretty sure yoga will help with the last two...but that involves me getting off my toosh to do it. Haha!

Best moment this week: Finding a great, new crib at a great price! Getting back in my own bed... Hearing Joe talk about how he just can't wait to meet our little girl. Yeah, those are all pretty great moments. =)

I just can't believe that 1) I'm already in my 3rd trimester {according to my app, anyway} and 2) we've got about 90 days until we meet Charlotte!!! Eeeek! =D

  2. Oh my goodness! So close!! I love the crib. I know it's not as fancy as some others but it's still really pretty and feminine. I can't wait to see what you do with the room!

  4. If it makes you feel any better, half or most of that weight gain will end up being fluid (and baby). I gained almost 50 lbs with Ian and 25 of that was him and fluid. It was encouraging to step on the scale a couple days after the birth to find that the weight I needed to lose wasn't as bad as I had anicipated. :)

As long as you're healthy, don't let the weight gain discourage you.
