They did a similar promotion last year, which I was also super excited for. I started thinking about what I was going to do if they didn't offer it again this year, but fortunately I don't have to worry about that now! All I have to do is choose from a bazillion cards that I like. They have everything from Christmas cards to greeting cards - and even photo books - all with some pretty great designs.
I loved the cards that I got from them last year:
I'd never done a photo card before and was excited to see how they'd turn out. I'd also never used Shutterfly before. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well they turned out. =) It's really a great alternative to the "traditional" Christmas card. These can be hung on the fridge with all the rest of the pictures instead of put on a table or in a drawer somewhere. =P
This year, I'm inclined to do the photo Christmas card again... But I'm having a hard time deciding which design I like best!!! Here are the front-runners:
The "here's what we did this year" card.
Covers the photo part and adds in a nice little letter for those we don't talk to every day.
I like this one simply for the Hawaii factor.
Plus, who doesn't like decorated palm trees? ;-)
Again with the Hawaii factor. I also like the collage of pictures.
I think this one is just plain cute.
It also kind of reminds me of Joe's grandma because she's all about Santa. =)
Traditional, vintage spin on the photo card. Me likey. =)
These are just a small taste of the many, many designs they have for cards. Now do you see why I'm having a hard time deciding?!

ReplyDeleteI'd love the chance to get more cards! I got our cards from there last year, and they were a huge hit, but I didn't order NEARLY enough. The extras would definitely come in handy :)

ReplyDeleteI would use the cards to send out holiday themed BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS for my little man!! (:
ReplyDeletefirst off, i love reading your blog. Now onto the photo cards! My husband and I got married in Maui in spring and I moved half way across the country to be with him and join the Army life. This will be our very FIRST christmas cards we send out as our own family of two, a chance to give friends and family some wedding photos, and most important keeping in contact with our beloved family and friends that we miss dearly :)
ReplyDeleteI love the 'highlights of 2011' card. It would be perfect for us to send out this year! With two graduations, a wedding, and a move it's been a big year for us and we'd love to share the news! :)

Yes, I want the free cards!!!! And you know what I would do with them? Save myself a whole lotta time by letting them print them instead of having to go to CVS to print photo copies and then write a personal note on each card. This would help me TREMENDOUSLY since I have two little kiddos keeping me busy this holiday season! ;D
ReplyDeleteShutterfly does not like me this year and doesn't want to do free cards for this blogger. So I am desperate to get some! Our families are too big to buy that many!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to need as many Christmas cards as possible! Pick me, pick me :)
ReplyDeleteI love the highlights card as well. With being away from family it is a great way to recap what happened this year!
ReplyDeleteI would use them for family christmas cards. I LOVE the top 10 high lights card and think that's what I'll be using this year with our move to MD, buying a house, a new car, my princess turning one, walking, finding out we are having another baby :]
ReplyDeleteWould love a chance to get these! We're getting our pictures made tomorrow forr our cards so hopefully we'll get some cute shots to go along with the cute designs that shutterfly has to offer
